Obituary of Carol Ann Stricklan
Please share a memory of Carol to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
On June 29, 2018 in Lake Havasu City, AZ surrounded by family, our beloved Carol Ann (Stroud) Stricklan went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She had been diagnosed recently with stage 4 lung cancer and congestive heart failure.
Carol was born November 19, 1936 to Clifford and Juanita Stroud in Buhl, Idaho. The 4th of seven children, she grew up in Buhl attending the local schools and the Methodist Church. During her senior year of high school she met her husband Don Stricklan on a blind date arranged by friends. They married February 26, 1955 in Buhl in her family home. They travelled briefly to UT, WY, to Pocatello, ID and later moved to Gooding, ID where they raised their four girls. In 1983 they moved to Arvada, CO and retiring in 2000 moved to Lake Havasu City, AZ.
Carol was active with Christian Women's Association, a women's bible study, and attended First Baptist Church in LHC. She was beautiful inside and out and was loved by all who met her. She loved Jesus recently saying "I spent all those years going to church thinking I was saved. I believed there was a God and I was pretty good but I know now that I didn't have a saving faith in Jesus like I do now." It was her desire that others would also come to know Him.
Carol will be incredibly missed but we look forward to the hope we have in Jesus that we will be reunited with her in Heaven forever.
Carol is survived by her husband Don of 63 years; daughters: Theri Kelley (Vic); Lisa Stricklan; Jenni Stricklan; Suzanne Howland (Mark); 9 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents Clifford and Juanita Stroud of Buhl ID; sisters Betty Todd; Virginia Lambert; Gayle Newnham; brother Robert Stroud; granddaughter Crickett Rastall; and grandson Gary Carl White IV.
