Obituary of Joseph "Bud" Champion
Please share a memory of Joseph to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Most days you could find Bud at one of the local Starbucks in town drinking his Mocha (real coffee) and shooting the breeze with anyone and everyone. He never met a Stanger or left a friend in need. In fact if there was something someone needed or was looking for he had a guy, knew a guy or was the guy for the job.
Weather if was picking up a teenager from school every day on his Harley, or driving 20+ hours to check on a broken leg, or insisting you get a haircut (Mohawks were not his thing) or just making sure you didn't forget to call him back because you're working to hard or taking his wife on vacations she never got to take before.
He would give you the Harley Davidson shirt right off his back and if you knew Bud, you knew he had more than one to spare. He had quite the collection from all over the world. I guess you could say that collecting those shirts was his thing.
Bud made a home and life here in Lake Havasu and he lived to the fullest. He loved to spend time with his family and friends. Riding motorcycles, sharing a meal, sharing a drink, sharing a laugh, sharing an opinion or just sharing his time.
He leaves behind a beautifully blended family with memories that span many many years. His loving wife Naomi, his three sons and their spouses. Mark and Kristie Champion, JD and Skyla Champion and Josh Del Carlo. His Stepchildren, Jessica and Donnie Howard, Preston and Mark Hollett. Bud was the proud grandfather of 10! Karlie & Bryce Champion, Katherine Johnson, Miranda, Hannah and Jacob Champion, Calvin Del Carlo, Malynn, Anthony, and Patrick Howard.
Please feel free to join Bud's family and friends at Mckee's Downtown on July 28th at 2pm for a celebration of life in honor of the man, the myth, the legend that we all know and love.
