Obituary of Alfred Rhodes Jr

Alfred "Rocky" Rhodes Jr. of Lake Havasu City, AZ passed away on June 19, 2018 at the age of 75. Rocky was born May 31, 1943 in Los Angeles, California to Alfred and Lorraine Rhodes. He obtained his GED at Los Medanos Community College in Pittsburg, CA. Rocky worked with Johns Manville, USS Posco and finally retired from PG&E. Rocky spent the past 46 years with his loving wife Maria. They raised their family in Pittsburg, CA until retiring to Lake Havasu City, AZ. Rocky enjoyed riding his Harley with his wife. They traveled all over the US and Canada on their motorcycle adventures. He loved spending time with his kids and grandkids. He was a member of the Elks. Dancing with Maria brought Rocky great joy. Rocky was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Lorraine Rhodes. Rocky is survived by his beautiful wife Maria Rhodes, children Mario Vega (Luwana), Hilda Porter (Bob), Gil Vega (Dawnja), Lorraine Rhodes-Stewart and Tina Rivera, siblings Ooawalla (Dusty) Rhodes and Randy McRoberts, his seventeen grandchildren and his seven great grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held on July 6, 2018 at 11:00AM in Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home Chapel in Lake Havasu, AZ. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday July 8, 2018 at London Bridge Resort Convention Center 1477 Queens Bay in Lake Havasu, AZ from 1:00pm – 4:00pm. A Celebration of Life will be held in Pittsburg, CA at a later date. Services were entrusted to the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.
