Obituary of "Pandora" Starkey
“Pandora” Starkey, beloved member of the Starkey family, passed away and crossed over the Rainbow Bridge on May 22, 2018.
Pandora was known for taking sleeping rotations with all members of her family. She was always there to greet her family at the door whenever they came home, even if it was just out the front door for just a few minutes. Pandora loved to go on car rides with the windows down and was a very obedient listener. Before she would go to bed each night, she would make sure that she went to each and every room to check on all of her family to make sure they were home, safe and sound. Hence, her earned nickname of “Nanny Dog.”
Pandora had a loyalty to each member of her family, so while she was a “daddy’s girl”, she wasn’t truly just one person’s dog. The Starkey family fell in love with Pandora when they first met her at a friend’s house as a young puppy. Dad immediately came home and started searching the internet for any dog that looked just like her, when suddenly a few months later, the owners asked the family if they wanted to take her, to which they graciously accepted.
Pandora gave birth to three puppies; Korn Dog, Chili Dog, and Cheese Dog. Chili Dog and Cheese Dog were adopted out locally but Korn Dog remained with the family. She loved to take baths and had just had a bath earlier on in the day and spent the hours before she passed by sharing her love with her Mommy, Rhaanon and brother, Cayden as they laid on Cayden’s bed while putting him down to sleep for the night.
Pandora was an amazing member of the Starkey family and will be deeply and “furever” missed!
