William Richard Janosco, 92, went to heaven on May 10, 2018. He was born in Pittsburgh, PA on 12/27/1925 to Michael Merrill and Josephine Janosco. He served his country in the Navy during WWII and then was a reservist for 19 and a half years. He was a lifetime member of the VFW. He had his pilot's license and flew sea planes in Pittsburgh also. He was a county police officer in Pittsburgh, PA and an investigator for a local law firm until he moved to Fullerton, CA in 1972. He continued his public service as a Los Angeles police officer while he received his BA in Criminal Justice from Cal State Long Beach in 1978. He was then promoted to the rank of Police Captain until he retired and moved to Lake Havasu City. He drove a bus for Lake Havasu City Transit for many years and did volunteer work for the senior center including delivering Meals on Wheels. He is proceeded in death by his parents and his two brothers, Frank Janosco of Glendora, CA and Michael Janosco of Pittsburgh, PA. He leaves behind his loving wife of 60 years, Patricia Eileen Janosco. He also leaves his two sons, William Janosco and Richard Janosco both of Lake Havasu City. He had three grandsons, Brandon Janosco of Anaheim, CA, Jason Janosco of Glendale, AZ and Aaron Janosco of Lake Havasu City. He had one great granddaughter, Alaynah Janosco. He will be greatly missed by many friends who loved him dearly and laughed with him often. We were lucky to have him as the head of our family and look forward in seeing him again when we all meet again in heaven. Services were placed in the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.
