Darrell James Long, of Lake Havasu City, Arizona, passed away on April 25, 2018 at the age of 66. He was born on March 15, 1952 in San Francisco, California. Darrell graduated from St. Francis High School where he was a boxer and was awarded the Golden Glove. After graduation he attended Stanford University. He met his loving wife, Sheryl, in 1979 and they were married in the Santa Cruz Mountains on October 1, 1983. They were blessed with 40 years of love and laughter. He loved life and enjoyed the outdoors. He liked fishing, hunting and horseback riding. He was proud of his Harley Davidson and his 1977 Porsche 911. His greatest joy was his family and his many dear friends. A highlight for him was snorkeling in the lake with his granddaughter. Darrell is preceded in death by his parents; Luther and Rhoda Long, and his brothers; Timothy and Rick Long. He is survived by his wife; Sheryl Long, sons; Jonathan and Travis Long, brother; Ray (Lena) Long and his granddaughter; Talisia Sandoval.
