Obituary of Vincent Richard Schneider

Vincent Schneider, known to friends as "Dick," passed away on April 20, 2018 at the age of 74 years. He had been a resident of Lake Havasu City, Arizona for the past 20 years and was formally of Minneapolis and Richmond, Minnesota. Dick was born on July 10, 1943 and graduated from Minneapolis Roosevelt in 1961. He was proud to serve his country by joining the Marine Corp after high school. He married Joan Toby shortly after his honorable discharge and they had three sons, of which Dick was very proud.
He enjoyed life to the fullest, and those who knew him would say he always had a joke and a smile. He loved working with the youth in the community and was very active in the wrestling and football programs for the Minneapolis Park board system.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Vincent and Amy Schneider, and his first wife, Joan (1996). He is survived by his second wife, Pamona; his sons, Robert (Kathy), Richard, and Ronald (Michelle); step-daughters, Deanne Kruse (Mike), Darci Parent (David), and Denise Kriewaldt (Chad); 15 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; 2 nephews; and many, many friends. He will be missed by all who knew him.
A funeral service in memory of Dick will be held Monday, April 30, 2018 at 11:00 a.m., at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Lake Havasu City, AZ. There will be a rosary service beforehand starting at 10:30. A luncheon will follow in the church hall.
A celebration of life service will be held in Richmond, Minnesota on June 15, 2018 at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church at 10:30AM. This service will be followed by his military interment at the St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery in Cold Spring, MN and a gathering at Denny's in Richmond, MN.
In lieu of flowers, memorial to St. Jude's Hospital for Children or the Humane Society of Lake Havasu.
