Obituary of Helen Mae Wagner

Please share a memory of Helen to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Helen Mae Wagner (Ennis), 92, passed away on April 4, 2018 to join her beloved "Sonny" in the chapter of their love story "Together Again."

Born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, Helen was the second of three daughters. She met and then married the love of her life, Leon (Sonny) Wagner on February 10, 1946. Together they raised a daughter and son. Helen was a "stay at home mom" until after her children were grown and becoming a grandmother. She then went on to achieve her proudest goal of becoming a nurse. She retired after 4 ½ years, having practiced her profession at Harbor-UCLA County Hospital Critical Care Unit.

Helen along with Sonny enjoyed many travels and adventures, boating together and with many of their friends, trailering their boats (to enjoy 1, 2, & 3) to places far and near.

She was a long time member of the Lake Havasu Yacht Club, attended weekly bingo and most recently Friday night dinner. She enjoyed the friendship and love extended to her by the members, especially after the passing of her husband.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Sonny; her beloved sisters, Dorothy (Dot) Zeller, Nancy Benassi, and grandson, Robert (Robby) Johnson.

Helen is survived by her daughter, Gerry Burchill; son, David (Kathi) Wagner; grandchildren, Kim Bytel, Michael (Vania) Johnson, Stacy Wagner, and Lynsay (Chris) Fox; seven great-grandchildren will miss the love and support of their mom-mom. She leaves behind nieces, grand-nieces, and nephews.

There will be no services per her request.
