Please accept my sincere condolences for the loss of your dear loved one, Roland. It seems like he was quite the wonderful person who lived a fulfilling life.
Take comfort in a promise from God found at Isaiah 25:8 ; "He will swallow up death forever, And the Sovereign Lord, Jehovah will wipe away the tears from all faces." We are reassured of this promise at Revelation 21:4 ; "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore..." I hope you were comforted by these thoughts today. For more information please visit jw.org.

Having endured such a loss, I find comfort in knowing the grief and sorrow we experience is temporary. God’s word is clear, “He will swallow up death forever, and the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will wipe away the tears from all faces”. (Isaiah 25:8; Revelation 21:4)
Further, “Your dead will live....the earth will let those powerless in death come to life”. (Isaiah 26:19;1Thessalonians 4:14) Jesus spoke of the coming resurrection (John 5:21, 28, 29), he performed resurrections & was himself resurrected by his Father. All such miraculous events took place on earth....giving us a glimpse of what is to come! (Acts 24:15)
Until his promises are fulfilled, may Jehovah God continue to bless your family now and in the days ahead as you cherish the many fond memories of Mr. Chambers.....

I am Ronnie Miley, one of Roland’s brothers- in- law. I met Roland in Kennett , Mo at a family reunion around 1990. He then took time to help our son with horseback riding. He liked children and was good with them. Later in years while working in California, Barbara and I had the privilege of spending Thanksgiving at the home of Roland and Martha. There was the feeding raw meatballs to Road Runners at their front door. There was that Orange tree in their front yard that he was fond of and enjoyed the fruit of. There was the trip to Oatman an old time western town. That was a good and fun time. If I remember right he liked Merle Haggard and enjoyed a lot of his music. A few years later Barbara and I were honored to be present along with Cindy, when Roland and Martha renewed their wedding vows in Las Vegas Nv. Both he and Martha were all decked out for this event and the ride in the Elvis pink Cadillac. We all had a great time with them. Later he wanted to have a beer and wanted a Dos Equis. I walked all over that place to find that beer. I am glad I did. We enjoyed that beer. I am sorry I didn’t get to visit with him more, my loss. Over the years there were phone conversations, emails and various forum postings I was privy to enjoy. Roland had a way with words that was amazing to me. He could make you understand complicated things and could make politicians look foolish for the opinions they held. I will miss his prose and postings. Roland was a fine man. I miss him and will always remember him.
