Dorothy Frehse, of Lake Havasu City, Arizona, passed away February 27, 2018 peacefully at the age of 91.
Dorothy was born in Kansas City, Missouri on September 25, 1926 to Louis and Amelia Schultz. Dorothy married the love of her life, William Robert Frehse in Salina, Kansas. They moved from Salina to Los Angeles, CA and then to Torrance, CA where they started their family. Dorothy moved permanently to Lake Havasu City, Arizona after her husband passed away in 1992.
Dorothy loved to travel throughout the Southwest and has visited Europe, Africa, Asia and Australia. She enjoyed boating, home decorating and especially caring for her family by cooking delicious meals and entertaining loved ones. Dorothy was a passionate artist who loved to design outfits for herself and daughter plus her home is filled with some of her beautiful paintings. She was particularly interested in Native American art and made Kachina replicas with her husband.
Dorothy was a very active member and volunteer worker at Community Presbyterian Church and loved being apart of the Women's Ministry. She was also an active member of the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed her last 26 years in Lake Havasu, the wonderful climate, scenery and wildlife.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, William Frehse; her parents Louis and Amelia Schultz; and her sister, Betty Schultz.
Dorothy is survived by her son, Steven Frehse, daughter-in-law Janice; daughter, Carol Frehse Shill, son-in-law Greg, six grandchildren: Jake, Max, wife Summer and Chloe Shill and Christian, wife Cassie, Ashlee and Evan Frehse and one great-grandchild Grayson Frehse.
A Memorial Service will be conducted March 22, 2018 at 10:30 AM at Community Presbyterian Church, 3450 Chemehuevi Blvd., Lake Havasu City, Arizona.
