Betty S. Otto, of Lake Havasu City, Arizona, passed away on Tuesday, February 20, 2018, at the age of 79, surrounded by family. Betty was born in New York City, New York, on November 4, 1938 to Fredrick and Marilyn Bythewood. She resided in the Seattle area for the majority of her life before relocating to her much-loved Lake Havasu City home. Betty volunteered at the Visitor's Center and animal shelter in Havasu. She had an extreme love of animals and dogs were her greatest passion. She belonged to the Lake Havasu Writers group and was an honoree member of Toast Masters. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Otto; parents, Fred and Marilyn Bythewood; sisters, Marilyn, Sherry, Faith and Beverly and Dolly and her brothers, David, Fred Jr., Danny and Edward. Betty leaves behind her beloved brother, Paul Bailey; sister, April; daughters, Keri Van Tassell and Kay Fitzpatrick; sons, Kenneth Hartford and Johnathan Fitzpatrick; beautiful granddaughters, Erin Rhoads, and Kylee Qualey and her great-grandchild, Lucy Rhoads. Please send all donations to Hospice of Havasu. A celebration of life will be held at Rotary Park in Lake Havasu, AZ on April 28, 2018 from 12-4pm.
