Rita Mae Brean, of Lake Havasu City, Arizona, passed away at home, peacefully on February 14, 2018, at the age of 85. Rita was born on August 4, 1932 in Akron, Ohio to John and Mary Head. After graduating high school, Rita began work as a secretary before she became a homemaker. She married her true love, Robert Brean in Doylestown, Ohio and they spent 67 beautiful years together. Bob and Rita moved from Ohio to Lakewood, California in 1954 where they spent most of their life, raising their three children. They built a house and retired to Lake Havasu City in 2000. Rita loved sewing, needlepoint, crocheting, playing cards with her family, activities on her computer and her occasional gambling trips, where she played the slot machines and always came home a winner. She loved growing African Violets and tending to her rose garden. She was even successful at growing her roses in Lake Havasu! Most of all Rita enjoyed her six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She belonged to the Elks, the Eagles, and was President of the Women's Auxiliary for Pop Warner Football.
