Obituary of Elizabeth Jacobs Brown
Please share a memory of Elizabeth to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Elizabeth Jacobs Chamberlin Brown, 63, of Parker passed away on January 2, 2018 in Lake Havasu City, after a long period of illness.
Liz took pride in her work at Bank of America and Parker Unified School District, but her real joy was raising her three daughters. She was eager to help with class field trips and projects as well as Girl Scout adventures. Her kitchen was always open to anyone who needed a meal. She enjoyed traveling to the California and Oregon coasts. Liz was also an animal lover who routinely adopted stray dogs and cats.
Liz is survived by her brother, Roy Chamberlin, of Redmond, Oregon; three daughters, Natalie Brown, of Tucson, Arizona, Kathryn Brown, of Nampa, Idaho, and Sarah Ekard (T.J.), of Nampa, Idaho, and two granddaughters, Cora Lynn Ekard and Libby Lou Ekard, both of Nampa, Idaho. She was born in Buffalo, New York and adopted by Bettyann and Fred Chamberlin, both of whom preceded her in death. As a child, she moved frequently, completing high school in Nampa, Idaho. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She is remembered fondly for her having a big heart and being willing to help anyone.
A celebration of life will be held in Parker, Arizona on Sunday, February 18 at the Bluewater Lagoon Clubhouse at 2pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Elizabeth's name to the Parker Unified School District, where she enjoyed working with students for many years and where her daughters completed their K-12 education.
