Obituary of Kathleen Ann Day

Kathleen Ann Day, of Lake Havasu City, Arizona, passed away on February 1, 2018, at the age of 77. We know she is now in the arms of Jesus, whom she so faithfully served. Kathy was born on September 30, 1940, in Los Angeles, California, the daughter of Wallace and Dorothy Curry. She graduated from Franklin High School in Los Angeles in 1958. She then joined the United States Air Force and served honorably for 4 years. It was there she met her husband, Wallace Glen Day. They were married June 11, 1966. They lived in Los Angeles and Washington until retiring to Lake Havasu City in 1994. It was here where Glen preceded her in death. Kathy loved the Lord and had a heart for service. She was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church and was extremely involved in all aspects of the church as well as a member of the Catholic daughters. She was a volunteer at the hospital and a very active member of their auxiliary for 24 years. Kathy was known by everyone she met as a kind, loving and giving friend. Kathy is preceded in death by her husband, Wallace Day; her parents, Wallace and Dorothy Curry, and her sister, Jeanne, followed her to heaven just a few hours later. She is survived by her brother, John (Julie) Curry, brother-in-law Al; 3 nieces and 1 nephew. Kathy, we all love and miss you! A Rosary will be held at Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church on Friday, February 16, 2018 at 10:30am with a Funeral Mass to follow at 11:00 am.
