Alberta Burrell, of Lake Havasu City, Arizona, passed away peacefully on February 1, 2018, surrounded by family and friends.
Alberta was born on November 20, 1925 in Allentown, Pennsylvania to Albert and Gertrude Steltz.
She retired to Florida with her loving husband of 59 years, Edward F. Burrell before he passed. Ed and Bert loved traveling and cruising. She enjoyed trips to Europe, vacations to Hawaii, swimming, playing Bingo, watching football, and gambling in Las Vegas and Laughlin. Bert was a lifetime member of the VFW, Trinity Lutheran Church in Lansdale, PA and Atonement Lutheran Church in Sebring, FL. She moved to Lake Havasu seven years ago to live with her daughter and son-in-law, Tom and Sue Zasadil. She resided for the past few years at Gems Assisted Living, where she was loved by all who knew her. The family wishes to thank Hospice of Havasu for the wonderful care they gave to her.
Alberta was also known as Gigi to those close to her. While raising four children, she worked as an in-home toy party saleswoman, logistics at Lansdale Transportation and lastly for the State of Pennsylvania Unemployment Department.
