Was devastated when our Christmas letter came back this year so started hunting on the internet to see if I could find anything and so upset when I saw Mark’s obit. I know last Christmas he said things where not good but had no idea. Sara and Mark and your family’s have our sincere even though late sympathy. Am sure you don’t remember us but have known your folks since 1966. We even seen you in Colorado and Mark when you were a very tiny baby. You both where very lucky to have such two special folks. Would love to hear from either of you. Blessings. Bill and Verna Kay Davis

Mark and Sara and families, We are so sorry to hear that your dad passed away. As you may remember, he and your mom were very good friends of ours. Mark roomed with Dennis when he first moved to Leadville, and then your mom worked for us when we had the Mortgage Business. We enjoyed both of your parents so much--it was always fun to get together to visit. Last spring, we were visiting Lake Havasu and were staying at the campground. We called your dad, and he came right over to visit. It was a lovely evening and we talked like there had never been a 10-12 year gap between visits. It was so wonderful to be together again. Your folks were such special people. We loved them both and will miss them. We had just been thinking of your dad , because we didn't get to Arizona this spring, but went southeast to Tennessee and the Carolinas. I am so sorry we didn't get to see him one more time. Please stop by or call if you are ever in Western Colorado. We have moved to Montrose. Dennis' phone number is 970 318 8481. We'd love to see you again. All our love, Dennis and Chris Reece

I have known Mark since 2005, I moved in next to him (Unit #2) when I purchased my first condo Labor day weekend 2005. My family and I currently live in Whittier,California. I would visit my condo only on Memorial day, 4th of July weekend and Labor day weekend, oh sometimes Spring break. Mark would arrive in October- April, I would catch up with him during snowbird season. When I did, Mark would stop by and say hi, Maggie was also present. She was a sweetheart. We would speak of Long Beach and California weather. He would mention how cold it would get in South Dakota. I told him, move in full time here, too cold in South Dakota. Well, last year he did it, finally moved to Lake Havasu full time. We would speak about the maintenance around our condo. Funny thing, he never mentioned to me he was the HOA president, LOL. He was a very humble person. I am going to miss him, as well as all my friends and family who met Mark. A blessing to have around. Heaven took another angel.
Our deepest condolences and prayers to the Koenig Family,
Our Love,
Jesus Cardenas Jr and Marisela Cardenas and family and friends

Condolence to the Family of Mark Koenig,
There are few experiences more difficult than losing a loved one in death. I find comfort in knowing death was not God’s purpose for mankind and his purpose has not changed. God’s word is clear, “He will swallow up death forever, and the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will wipe away the tears from all faces”. (Isaiah 25:8; Revelation 21:4)
Further, the restoration of life is guaranteed! Jesus not only spoke of the coming resurrection (John 5:21, 28, 29), he himself was resurrected by his Father and performed many miracles. All such miraculous events, including resurrections, took place on earth giving us a precious glimpse of what is to come.......seeing our loved ones again. (Acts 24:15)
May Jehovah God continue to bless your family in the days ahead as you cherish the many fond memories of Mr. Koenig.

Enjoyed many hunting seasons riding in the truck with Mark chasing those pheasant. A great host for us, and we shared a lot of laughs. He will be missed.
