Peter J. Kachinoski passed away peacefully on January 11, 2013 at his home in Lake Havasu City, Arizona while under the care of family and hospice. Born in Shamokin, PA to the late William and Bogumila (Marciniak) Kachinoski. Peter moved to Niagara Falls, NY where he married Dolores Dabrowski, who predeceased him after 53 years of marriage. Pete's strong work ethic made him a successful businessman, as owner and operator of Pete's New & Used Furniture, Wayfarer's Inn, and Kach's Corner. Upon retirement Pete moved to Florida and then on to Arizona. Pete thoroughly enjoyed life with family and friends. He loved to "make a deal" buying and selling, enjoyed playing his kazoo, watching FOX news, sharing his homemade Irish Cream, tipping with a $2.00 bill and polka music. Friends and family looked forward to his "Polka" birthday celebration every year. Survivors include his four children, Patricia (John) Fitzpatrick of Wheatfield, NY; Nancy (Edward) Murgia of Yorktown Heights, NY; Sandra (Rick) Bilodeau of Rockledge, FL; Peter (Deborah) Kachinoski Jr. of Cape Coral, FL and grandchildren John (Tracy) Fitzpatrick, Jennifer (Doug) Elia, Ann (Matt) Courts, Sarah (Josh) Heim, Alissa Murgia, Janna (Jack) Hoppin, Danielle Simmons, Heather Bilodeau; ten great-grandchildren; a sister Anna Burba of Perkiomenville, PA; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, Pete was predeceased in death by seven brothers, William, John, Joseph, Raymond, Stanley, Frank and Adolph Kachinoski, five sisters, Helen Kachinoski, Clara Anderson, Bertha Kohan, Violet Dudeck, and Victoria Zarko.
