Obituary of Farran Helmick

Farran "Hank" Vernon Helmick Jr. formerly of Lake Havasu City, Arizona, passed away on January 27, 2018. He was born in Parkersburg, West Virginia to his parents, Farran and Wilhelmina Helmick on January 29, 1925. He was 93 years of age.
Hank proudly served his country in WWII and Korea, and earned two Bronze Stars for his acts of heroism. After being honorably discharged he became the proud owner of his very own antique shop.
Hank retired to Lake Havasu City, in 2000, where he enjoyed the desert and lake until he moved to California with his son Mike in 2015.
Hank was always in a good mood and was known for his silly jokes.
Hank was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, and The Blue Army.
Hank is survived by his six children; seventeen grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren.
A Visitation will be at 6:00pm on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home. Mass will be at 1:00PM at Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church on Friday, February 9, 2018.
