Obituary of Roberta Jean Spoon

Roberta Jean Simpson, 87 (Brewster, Spoon), a long-time resident of Orange, California, Escondido, California, and Parker, Arizona, died peacefully on Saturday the 6th of January, 2018 in Parker, Arizona. Born in 1930 in Huntsville, Arkansas, she graduated from Orange High School in California and later moved to Escondido, California in 1969. She then moved to Parker, Arizona in 1988 with her husband John Spoon. Roberta loved to entertain and enjoyed visiting with family and friends, taking a few friends under her wings supplying them with baked pinto beans, banana bread, candied pretzels, and fudge. She always had a kind word for everyone and everyone she met was considered a friend. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Dixie Womack, of Palm Desert, California. Roberta is survived by her husband, John A. Spoon, of Parker, Arizona and her children, Linda Brewster, of Parker, Arizona and Mike (Linda) Brewster, of Orange, California. She has three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. No services are planned, per her request. Her ashes will be scattered in Parker, Arizona.
