Obituary of John Francis Knutson

John Francis Knutson departed with angels on Wednesday, December 27, 2017, at the age of 62.

John is now off on his next adventure. This new mission takes him to a beautiful place where he will be writing songs, playing music, dancing, singing, and reading to his heart's content. This adventure includes a grand reunion with family and friends he has not seen in a long time. Music, laughter, and love are guaranteed. Food is delicious, and he will never gain an ounce. John will be fondly remembered by family and friends as a loving father, brother, son, unwavering friend, passionate songwriter, and adventurous nature enthusiast.

For many, John was that one person who always listened. He had an amazing ability to lift your spirit, motivate you, encourage you, point you in the right direction and inspire you to become the best version of yourself. John would like to let you know he is still listening.

John was born in Ottawa, Illinois on June 2, 1955 to his parents, John Reuben and Mary Ruth (Blodgett) Knutson.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Knutson and his brother Richard Knutson.

John is survived by his mother, Mary Knutson; brother, Robert Blodgett; sister & brother-in-law, Karmi and John Dummett; daughter & son-in-law, Kristen and Kyle Clark; son & daughter-in-law, Mark and Robyn Knutson; four grandchildren, Austin, Caroline, Olivia, and Nathaniel; five nieces; nine nephews; eleven great-nieces, and six great-nephews, all of whom he loved deeply.
