Obituary of Shirley Ann Leifer

Shirley Ann Leifer (nee Kubow) went to her heavenly home on December 21, 2017.  She was born May 28, 1924 in Watertown Wisconsin to Edward and Helen Kubow. 

Shirley was baptized, confirmed and married at St. Marcus Lutheran Church in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  She married the love of her life, Donald Leifer on July 13, 1946.  Their marriage was a true love story for 53 years.  Shirley was employed by Harley Davidson and Shuster’s Department Store, but her true passion was being a devoted wife and loving mother.  Her main wish was the happiness of her family.  In 1986, Don and Shirley moved to Lake Havasu City, Arizona to enjoy retirement together.  Shirley loved playing cards, especially Pinochle, with her dear friends at rotating homes, the Eagles, and the Senior Center.

Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Leifer, and siblings, Beverly Chapman and Marion Kubow. 

She is survived by her children, Diane (Jeffrey) Pfeifer of Lenexa, Kansas, JoAnne (Michael) Kupfer, of Lake Havasu City, Arizona, and Donald (Debbie) Leifer of Edmund, Oklahoma.  She is also survived by six grandchildren, Jeff (Laura) Pfeifer, Amy (Chris) Sheridan, Kari (Karl) Thompson, Kimberly (Jacob) Gregory, Zachary Leifer, and Zoey Leifer, and 12 Great Grandchildren.

A Funeral Service will be at 1:00pm on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at Mount Olive Lutheran Church, 2170 Havasupai Blvd., Lake Havasu City, Arizona.  There will be a reception immediately following in the church cafe. Graveside will be at 3:00pm at Lake Havasu Memorial Gardens, 1698 Deer Run Drive, Lake Havasu City, Arizona.
