To Sharon and family: Sharon, you don't know me, but I wanted to offer condolences to you on Jim's death. When Jim worked for Motorola, I worked for Dow Corning Corporation in Midland, MI. Motorola was one of my customers and Jim was my contact. I have absolutely no idea what made me think of him today from so long ago, but I did. I knew that you had built Quail's Ridge in Sedona, as he had told me all about your plans before he retired from Motorola. I'm not sure it had a name at the time, but I think your plans, perhaps tentative at the time, were in place. So, I did a search on the internet this morning to see if you both were still in Sedona, and ultimately, I found a death announcement, certainly not what I was looking for, and noticed that his service will be this Saturday, Jan 13. I'm very sorry for your loss and know that you must have had an interesting life with him based on the 'fun' conversations we had when I was his Dow Corning contact. In fact, when I read his obituary, I'm thinking he may have written it himself. I never had the opportunity to meet him when I traveled, but it was always a refreshing conversation when we talked, seeming like we had similar thoughts about life in general and listening to him talk about your lives, your plans, his family and travels. I would very much have liked to have met both of you. Take comfort in the wonderful memories you must have and will carry with you. With sympathy, Sue Broughton, Midland, MI.
