Michael Travis Sharp

Michael "Mike" Travis Sharp, of Lake Havasu City, Arizona, passed away on December 14, 2017. He was born in Phoenix, Arizona on June 11, 1949 and raised in Coolidge, Arizona. He was 68 years of age.
Mike attended the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona, graduating with a degree in Pharmacy in 1971. He enlisted in the Army National Guard transferring to the Air National Guard, developing friendships he carried with him when he moved to Prescott, Arizona in 1971.
Mike was a pharmacist and built many relationships that have lasted a lifetime. In Prescott, he built several businesses of which he was very proud. He served on several Board of Trustees, including the Airport and YRMC. He married Gayleen in 1997, with a readymade family whom he accepted fully and with love. Aside from his professional and civic responsibilities, he spent many happy hours with friends and family.
In 2003, he relocated to Winslow, Arizona and was employed by the AZDoC in the Winslow Prison system and was an active member of the Board of Trustees for the local ELKS Club. Moving to Lake Havasu City, Arizona in 2005, he opened the pharmacy at Food City, where he worked until his death at age 68. He was a mentor and friend to many. He enjoyed boating, camping, hiking, and piloting his plane, passing down his rich knowledge of the state to his children and grandchildren.
Mike is survived by his loving wife of twenty years, Gayleen; his children, Christine, Russell, Crystal, and Arianne; six grandchildren, and his brother, Daniel (Lynn), of Oro Valley, Arizona. He will be missed by many.
