Obituary of Stanley Marvin Broder

Stan Broder went to Heaven on Monday, November 20, 2017. Born into a Jewish family, he was completed in his Messiah after his soul-searching trip to Europe and Israel to find out what it meant to be a Jew. Stan was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. Over his lifetime he worked at many occupations beginning as a short order cook. He attended Los Angeles valley College majoring in Business which led to his brief career as the night studio manager at Motown, West in California. Stan worked with notable recording artists such as: Sammy Davis, Jr., Smokey Robinson, and The Jackson Five. He went on to serve in the United States Navy for over 25 years (active and reservist), retiring as a Senior Chief Petty Officer. The highlight of Stan's careers was working with the Outreach Department at Grace Community Church and as Director of International Ministries at Grace to You, for over two decades. His responsibilities took him to such countries as India, Singapore, Philippines, South Africa, Germany, England, Sri Lanka, Hong Kong, Taiwan, China, Australia, and New Zealand. Stan founded most of the international Grace to You offices and directed those offices until his retirement in 2006. Stan and his wife, Stephanie, moved to Lake Havasu City in 2006 to help family members care for his mother-in-law. His love and care for missionaries continued as he served as a Deacon at Bethany Bible Church in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. Stan was preceded in death by his mother and father. Stan was married to "The girl of his dreams", Stephanie, for 27 years. He was a loving step-father (Pop) to her children; Carl, Khristi, and Jeanette. Stan was also proud to be called Papa and Grandpa by his 11 grandchildren. A Memorial service will be at 1:00pm on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at Bethany Bible Church.
