Trudy Stemich 03/16/1939 - 01/18/2013
Trudy was born in Detroit, Michigan, on March 16, 1939. She was the only baby in the nursery for 10 days - people were still recovering from the Great Depression, so most babies were born at home - but her dad saved enough so his wife and new baby could be at the hospital.
In 1972 Trudy moved the family to Lake Havasu City and opened the Beachcomber Restaurant. After closing the business down, she worked at Hobo Joes and then Denny's Restaurant. She met the love of her life in 1978, Ludger Stemich, and a year later they married on Easter Sunday - April 15, 1979.
In December 1979 she got her Real Estate license and went to work at Mohave Realty and McCulloch Realty Co., specializing in 'low income' housing. She was a Multi Million Producer, Chairman of the Education Committee, and Professional Standard Committee. She was named "Realtor of the Year" in 1990.
Trudy's interests included shopping, cooking, reading and spending lots of time with family and friends. She loved traveling and spending time at their second home in Williams, Arizona.
She leaves behind her beloved husband Ludger, her adorable and much loved miniature long haired dachshund "Roxy", five children - Lori Williams, Bob Williams, Monica Querry (Brian), Gary Williams, and Sharon Weech (Eric), nine grandchildren - Alyssa Riley/Liles (Danny), Aaron Williams, MariaElena Williams, Kyle Querry, Dustin Querry, Mat Williams, Arianne Christensen, Lauren Christensen, and Ashley Williams and one great grandchild - Brooklynn Liles.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Mary Spaag, her sister Tilda Rose and her first born child Dawn Kathryn.
Memorial service will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday January 30, 2013 at the Mount Olive Lutheran Church, 2170 Havasupai Blvd., Lake Havasu City, AZ. Reception luncheon at the Perish Center.
