Obituary of Roberta Marie LaVelle
Roberta "Bobbi" LaVelle, of Lake Havasu City, Arizona, passed away on November 1, 2017. She was born on April 27, 1932 in Arlington, Washington to her parents, Lawrence and Geraldine Widmark. She was 85 years of age.
Born and raised in Arlington, she attended and graduated from Arlington High School. It was on July 10, 1954 that she would marry Donald LaVelle in Coeur d' Alene, Idaho. Don and "Bobbi" built their first home in Marysville, Washington where they started their family. They moved to Eugene, Oregon in 1965 and later to Cottage Grove, Oregon where they would raise their family. It was also in Cottage Grove where Don and Bobbi founded LaVelles Carbide Service and ran it as a family business for many years. They built a cabin at Crescent Lake, Oregon where they enjoyed many years of family gatherings, fishing and snowmobiling. They were proud members of "The Dumb Shits Snowmobiling Club".
Bobbi and Don moved to Lake Havasu in 1997 and loved their retirement years in the sunshine. Bobbi also enjoyed the company of her beloved Chihuahuas Ebbi, Shadow and Teddi.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 62 years, Donald La Velle; parents, Lawrence and Geraldine Widmark and brother, Lyle Widmark.
Roberta is survived by her son, Steve (Marla) LaVelle, of Brookings, Oregon; daughters, Terese (Peter) Kessler, of Lake Havasu City, Arizona and Elese LaVelle, of Lake Havasu City, Arizona; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
