Obituary of Raymond Bergman

Raymond Gilbert Bergman died on January 21, 2013. Ray was born on March 2, 1920 and was almost 93 years of age. Ray is survived by his wife of 48 years, Christine Bergman and stepson Gordon Cannady, aka Gordon Bergman, of Lake Havasu City, son Charles Bergman and daughter Diane Lee both of Laughlin, Nevada. Ray is also survived by grandsons, Mickey and Guy Bergman, of Laughlin, Nevada and Jason Ferris of Cottonwood, AZ and Shawn Ryser and several great grandchildren. Also Ray is survived by his loving sister-in-law and her husband, Delores an Jerry Jones of Sparks, Nevada as well as his brother-in-law Dale Harris and family of Reno, Nevada. Ray was born in Forest Park, Illinois, the son of Christopher Charles Bergman and Adeline Oswald Bergman. Ray is also predeceased by his two younger brothers, Robert and Arthur Bergman, niece Connie Bergman Anderson. Ray's father and mother moved the family to Oakland, California when Ray was 6 years old and Ray attended schools in Oakland, California. Ray joined the Navy during WWII and spent seven years in the Navy. Ray was an aircraft mechanic and served the majority of his service time on Einewetok in the South Pacific. Ray was truly a "Jack of All Trades"; He as a pilot and loved flying. Ray was a stock broker, a real estate agent, a builder, having designed and built several homes and also designed and built, along with his lifelong partner, Michael Cinani, the only funeral home in Sparks, Nevada as well as apartment complexes and several homes. Ray and his wife, Christine, moved to Lake Havasu City from Sparks, Nevada in 1981 and resided in Havasu permanently since 1984. Ray is also surived by his beloved niece, Janis Desmarius and nephew, William Bergman and nephew Wayne Andersen. In keeping with Ray's wishes there will be no services held.
