Obituary of Lester Lee Webster

Please share a memory of Lester to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Lester Webster, best known as Lee, was born in Oklahoma on December 9, 1957. Lee fell asleep in the arms of our Lord on October 11, 2017 after a brave 10 year battle with cancer. His family moved to Long Beach, California when he was very young. His proximity to the coast caused him to develop a passion for the ocean and surfing. After graduating high school at Long Beach Wilson, Lee became a firefighter in Buena Park following a one season in the California Department of Forestry as a seasonal firefighter. He married Marilyn Long on April 11th, 1987 and had two children, Amanda and Tony. After 10 years in Buena Park, Lee later moved his career to the City of Garden Grove Fire Department, where he enjoyed a career of 22 years as an Engineer before retiring due to his illness. He also had a passion for construction and worked on a wide array of projects throughout his life, alongside many lifelong friends. After retirement, Lee and Marilyn relocated to Lake Havasu City, Arizona to enjoy boating and the beauty of the desert where they had vacationed often throughout the years. They spent time transforming their home into a desert oasis using Marilyn's vision and Lee's construction prowess, as they had to their California home years prior. Lee was an amazing and loving husband, father, believer, and friend, as well as a dedicated firefighter, builder, and jack of all trades. Memorial services will be held at St. John's Lutheran Church in Orange, California on Thursday, November 9, 2017 at 10:30 am. Services were placed in the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.
