Obituary of William Eugene Lansford

William E. Lansford passed away in Lake Havasu City, Arizona, after a brief struggle with cancer, in the arms of his beloved wife, Reda, on September 11, 2017. Bill was born at Pomona Valley Hospital in California on April 18, 1949, son of Wm. Eugene Lansford and Patricia (Reeder) Lansford. Bill attended Charter Oak High School in Covina, California graduating in 1967. He attended Mount San Antonio College in Walnut, California, where he played as a pitcher. He will always be remembered for his 95 mph fastball! He later became very active in AA and recently earned his 25 year AA medallion chip. While in AA, Bill helped others with addiction, never giving up hope on anyone. He was known for his warm smile, quiet disposition and big hugs. Bill is survived by his wife and best friend, Reda (Kizarr) Lansford, whom he married on October 17, 1981; son, William (Marcy) Lansford. He was blessed with 4 grandchildren, Ryan, Kyle, Ella, and Jace. In 2015, Bill & Reda retired to Lake Havasu City to spend time with his son, William, grandchildren, and family. He never missed a Thursday fishing day with his son. Bill adored his family. He is also survived by his brothers; Tom Lansford and Scott Lansford; sisters; Melody Newcombe and Lisa Lansford Smith. A celebration of his life will take place on Sunday, October 29th at 1:00 PM at the London Bridge Resort, located at 1477 Queens Bay, Lake Havasu City, Arizona 86403.
