Virginia Marie Story, of Lake Havasu City, Arizona, was reunited with her beloved husband, Ray Carlton Story and joined her great-granddaughter, Raelyn Brielle Weaver in Heaven on September 1, 2017. She was born on August 15, 1930 in Chicago, Illinois to her parents, Joseph and Anna Lorenz. She was 87 years of age.
Being born and raised in Illinois, Virginia found her way out west to California and spent time living in Rialto, California and also Desert Hot Springs, California.
Virginia met Ray Story and they married in Las Vegas, Nevada and spent thirty three magical years together.
Virginia and Ray traveled often in their various RV's; including Alaska and the Canada Stampede. Their grandchildren also accompanied them often on their travels; they were great grandparents. Virginia really loved spending time with her precious kids and grandkids. Virginia was also a member of Calvary Chapel Church in Desert Hills, Arizona.
She was preceded in death by husband of thirty three years, Ray Story; parents, Anna and Joseph Lorenz and great-granddaughter, Raelyn Brielle Weaver.
Virginia is survived by her son, Gary Lee Hyde (Michelle), of Lake Havasu City, Arizona; daughters Sandra Lynn Hyde (Ken), of Payson, Arizona and Londa Marie (Jack) Welch, of Luck, Wisconsin; grandchildren, Corrina Girad, Shawna Bronson (Greg), Misty Wells (Charlie), Tamara Weaver (Dennis), Brianne Parsons, and Heather Hyde; great-grandchildren, Christopher Brown, Lisa Jordan, Amber Bronson, Savannah Wells, McKenna Wells, Asher Wells, Tatum Weaver, Pierce Weaver, and Sloane Weaver.
A Memorial Service will be held at Virginia's residence on September 16, 2017 at 12:00pm. For further information, you may call (928) 453-7730.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Virginia's name to "Rae of Hope, Inc." in Lake Havasu City, Arizona.
