Obituary of John Dana Pollard
John Dana Pollard, a 19 year resident of LHC, passed away peacefully on August 21, 2017 with his loving daughter Dana in his arms.
John was born in Ipswich, Massachusetts in 1935 and graduated from Ipswich High School in 1952.
In 1954, John joined the USAF where he served honorably and proudly for 28 years (and 2 days). He was a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam wars and had served in Iceland, England, Guam, Philippines, Germany, as well as various bases in the United States. He retired in 1982 as a Senior Master Sergeant from Shaw Air Force base in South Carolina.
John enjoyed dancing, bowling, his beloved Boston Bruins and was a 15 year member of the London Bridge Hackers golf club as well as member of the Eagles, American Legion Post 81 and the Air Force Sergeants Association.
John was preceded into Heaven by his beloved wife of 37 years, June, as well as a son, Curtis Birley.
He is survived by his children, Dana Pollard Carulli, her husband Frank, Darlene Freitag, her husband Stephen, Lisa Gamble, Rick Prose, his wife Barbara, Clif Birley, his wife June, Gene Pollard and his wife Christa, as well as 17 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be at 2:00 P.M. on September 23, 2017, at the American Legion.
