Obituary of Linda Spielberger

Linda Spielberger passed away on August 19, 2017 at the age of 84 in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. She was born to Eugene and Cherub (Gillette) Strouse on April 4, 1933 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Linda Strouse married her high school sweetheart Frank Spielberger on July 7, 1951 in Beverly Hills, California. They shared 66 years of love and adventure together. Frank and Linda had been boating and water skiing on the lake since 1958. They made Lake Havasu City, Arizona their full-time residence after retiring in 1993. They enjoyed traveling, going on cruises, boating, Sea-Doo riding, as well as desert sports too. They belonged to the Four Wheelers Club where they started out on four-wheelers, then quads and finally the Razor. Linda loved the desert. She and her husband went on many trips in their motor home and led motor home caravan trips as far as Mexico and Alaska. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. Linda was a special education and pre-school teacher. She also loved working in the yard with plants and flowers, and loved crafts and was a member of a craft group. She was also an active member of the community and belonged to Western Welcome, the Lake Havasu City Antique Car Club and Daughters of the American Revolution. Linda is preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Cherub Strouse. She is survived by her loving husband, Frank Spielberger; her sons, David, Danny (Shari), Steven (Lisa), and Gary (Cindy) Spielberger; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at 2:00 pm.
