Evelyn Serrano Paulus
Better known as "Mom" or "GG" to most, she was everybody's mom or grandma. Most people didn't even know her name because they just called her Mom or "GG". She loved EVERYONE & EVERYONE adored her!
She met the love of her life at 18, dad, as 17. He was a rebel and she was the innocent school girl. She tried to say no, but in the end couldn't. They got married Aug. 22, 1964. 3 children and a life that mom said was never dull.
In the earlier years they spent most of their weekends racing all over Southern California. Mom enjoyed that so much. But mom said her most favorite times in life was when the kids were in school and Dad was coaching softball and they would go all over to all of the softball games.
They adored each other and now they are together and she is also with her beloved JD. Mom was always up for anything. UFC fights? She loved it! Camping? Let's go! Football? Cardinals was her team. Baseball? She rocked her Diamond Back shirts and hardly missed a game on TV. Basketball? She loved her Suns and took her Suns blanket everywhere. She also loved the Bee Gees and watching tennis. But, the thing she loved the most was her family. She would do a anything for her family and always did.
She left so many of us behind. She was not only a wife, mom, g'ma, sister, friend, aunt, etc… She was the BEST at all those. She was simply the BEST person. The only complaint we can even say about Mom is that no matter how hard she tried to tell a joke, the only person she managed to make laugh was herself. I guess that's good enough for us.
