Obituary of Dante Marinelli

Dante "Doc" Marinelli, 88 of Lake Havasu City, passed away on January 26,2013 of natural causes. Dante was born in Barisciano, Italy to Vincent and Rose Marinelli in 1925. He moved to Detroit, Michigan as a young boy and attended school. There he met and married the love of his life, Ida Marinelli, whom recently preceded him in death in 2010. Dante served in the US military army from 1944-1946. Following his discharge he pursued a long career in medicine. He practiced in the Southern California area most of his life. Dante retired to Lake Havasu City with Ida in 2004. He always stated that it was the best move he ever made. He had many memories of the Elks Club, poker games, boating, and dinner parties with close friends. He was so grateful to all his friends that made him so happy. He is survived by his loving sons, Dante of Lake Havasu City and Derrick Marinelli of Anaheim Hills, Ca. He leaves behind 2 daughter-in-laws Terrie and Kim Marinelli and 6 grandchildren whom he adored. Visitation will be held at Lietz-Fraze on Thursday, January 31st at 6:30pm. The rosary will follow at 7:00pm. Funeral services will be held at the Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church at 10:15am on Friday February 1st.
