Joseph Richard Kraus, of Lake Havasu City, Arizona passed away on July 15, 2017. He was born on June 9, 1925 in Zell/Würzburg, Bavaria, Germany to his parents, Ludwig and Mary Kraus. He was 92 years of age. Joseph was proud and honored to serve in the Navy and was a World War II Veteran. He met his future wife, Liselotte Marquart, and in Long Island, New York on July 3, 1954, they were united in marriage, making her proud to be Mrs. Liselotte Kraus. Joseph was employed at Gruman Aerospace for 20 years in New York. It was in 1976 that Joseph and Liselotte made the trek across the country and made Lake Havasu City, Arizona their home. He worked at Western Safe and Alarm, where he retired. Joseph enjoyed looking for treasures while going metal detecting, panning for gold and most of all spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ludwig and Mary Kraus. Joseph is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Liselotte Kraus, of Lake Havasu City, Arizona; son, Richard Kraus, of Parker, Arizona; daughter, Annamaria (Michael) Grahn, of Glendale, Arizona; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00pm on July 28, 2017 at Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church. Services were placed in the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.
