Obituary of Robert Eugene Raypole
Please share a memory of Robert to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
On July 4, 2017, Heaven gained an amazing man. Robert Eugene Raypole "Bob" passed away in Lake Havasu City, Arizona at the age of 75 after losing his battle with cancer. All of his family was by his side. He was born to Clayton and Betty (Steadman) Raypole in Nappanee, Indiana on January 26, 1942.
Robert was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. He was always the go to person if you needed answers. He was a very smart man. He worked in the aerospace industry at Boeing for 35 years as an industrial x-ray technician until he retired in 2000.
He was passionate about many things but mostly his family, his racecar, and his love for life. He enjoyed traveling and meeting new people. Fishing was a long time hobby. He was a member of the Elks Lodge of Buena Park, California, Cali-SS Impala Car Club, as well as a life time member of the National Rifle Association and National Hot Rod Association.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Clayton and Betty Raypole.
He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Ida Raypole; daughters, Jeanann Hagemann and Jody Clark; five grandchildren and one great-grandson.
The family wishes to thank Hospice of Havasu for their compassionate care during Robert's illness, especially Jenica who always made sure his needs were taken care of, and Tammy and Heather for being there to answer the many phone calls. The peace of mind that hospice gives the family is priceless.
There will be no funeral service per Robert's request. A Celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice of Havasu in Robert's name at 365 S. Lake Havasu Avenue, Lake Havasu City, AZ 86403.
