Obituary of Stanley Joseph Skiba
Stanley Joseph Skiba (Skip) passed away July 1, 2017 at the age of 87 in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. He was born to Katherine Sibik Skiba on March 9, 1930 in Hammond, Indiana.
He grew up in Calumet City, Illinois. After fifty-four years, he moved with his family to Lake Havasu City, AZ. Stanley was proud to have served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He continued a life of service as a Fireman where he retired as a Fire Chief.
He enjoyed thirty-three years in Lake Havasu City. His favorite past times were spending time with his friends, bowling and drinking beer at Lake Havasu Bowling Alley.
Stanley's mother, Katherine Skiba, preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife, Marie Skiba; brother, Michael and (Chesterine), as well as, nieces and nephews.
Stanley was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Church. He was also a member of the Professional Firefighters Association, the American Legion and the Fraternal Order of Eagles.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Stanley's name to the Western Arizona Humane Society, in Lake Havasu City.
