Obituary of Lyonal Thurston Reed

Lyonal Thurston Reed, of Lake Havasu City, Arizona, passed away on June 22, 2017. He was born on May 29, 1934 in San Diego, California to his parents, Merlin and Lela Reed. He was 83 years of age. Lyonal was proud to serve his country in the United States Army 82nd Airborne division. In 1959, Lyonal married Collette Vance and together they had two beautiful children, Bret and Paula. In 1980, Lyonal married Dora Violette. At the time, Dora had two children of her own, Julie Bryner and Stephanie Jenson, whom he cared deeply for. Lyonal was the past President of the Eagles Arie, an American Legion member, and Honor Guardand Auxiliary member at the VFW Post 9401. Lyonal was preceded in death by his parents, Merlin and Lela Reed and brothers, Louis and Bill Reed. He is survived by his wife, Dora Reed; son, Bret Reed; daughter, Paula Gates; step-daughters, Stephanie Jensen and Julie Bryner; grandchildren; Chelsea Bryner, Emily Bryner, Ford Jensen and Alison Jensen; great-grandchildren, Harper and Natalie Bryner.
