Daniel John Williams "Pops", of Lake Havasu City, Arizona, passed away on April 10, 2017. He was born on May 8, 1922 in Brooklyn, New York to his parents, Daniel and Christine Guglielmo. He was 94 years of age. After graduating high school, he enlisted in the United States Army in 1943 and was Honorably Discharged as a Second Lieutenant Infantry in 1953. Daniel met and married his lovely wife, Dorothy in Brooklyn, New York on July 3, 1947. In the time that they were together they had two wonderful children, Bruce and Barbara. They spent 44 years in New York, where he helped out with his brother-in-laws family business as a plumber. Daniel and his family then ventured out West and moved to California, where he was employed with McDonald Douglas Aircraft in Torrance, California where he helped maintain Howard Hughes wooden plane among other jobs within the company. He retired from McDonald Douglas Aircraft after25 years of employment. It was in 1991 that Daniel and Dorothy packed up and relocated to Lake Havasu City, Arizona to enjoy living the good life of retirement. Daniel enjoyed going fishing and visiting his grandson in Las Vegas, Nevada. For 25 years, every Thursday at 3:00pm, him and his wife would go to Shugrues and sit at the same table in the corner in the bar area and enjoy the company of friends and each other. Daniel was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Marie, and his beloved wife of 64 years, Dorothy "Goose" Williams. He is survived by son, Bruce Williams; daughter, Barbara Lopez; six grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. Daniel donated to different local organizations. The family is requesting any donations be made in his name to the VFW, Western Arizona Humane Society, or any local police charities. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home. Services were placed in the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.
