Joyce Lilian Dixon, of Lake Havasu City, Arizona, passed away on May 20, 2017. She was born on May 6, 1928 to John and Martha Brinkworth in London, England.

Joyce attended Catholic School until World War II took her from her studies, to working in the factories alongside her mother and aunts. She met her future husband of 67 years, Henry George Dixon in 1944 and he proposed marriage to her on the London Bridge in 1945 and they were married October 25, 1947. She had two children, Maureen, of Lake Havasu City and David (Jayne), of Santa Cruz, California, also born in the United Kingdom.

The family then moved to Edmonton, Alberta, Canada in 1956. They lived there until 1961, at which time they relocated to Long Beach, California. They lived and worked in Southern California until 1972 where they then relocated to Northern California, where her husband Henry started and established his own tire company in Santa Cruz and Watsonville. Alongside Henry and Joyce were their son David and his wife Jayne and their son Dusty.

In 1993, after leaving the tire company to his son, David, they retired here in Lake Havasu City, after vacationing here for years. They enjoyed the hot summers and went faithfully once a week on a day date. They enjoyed just driving and seeing the sights.

Joyce enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and reading her Bible.

She is preceded in death by her parents; mother and father-in-law; husband, Henry, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She left behind her son, David (Jayne) of Santa Cruz, California; daughter, Maureen, of Lake Havasu City, Arizona; four grandsons, Jason, Mathew, David, and Dustin; three great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Max, and Charlotte.
