Please share a memory of Lois to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Lois Ann Bonney (92) devoted wife and loving mother of seven children, died Sunday, May 7 in Kingman, AZ. Her parents came out West on a horse-drawn wagon and settled in Wyoming in the late 1800s . Lois Ann, or "Loey," and her two sisters worked for the war effort during the World War II. In December, 1945, she married Wayne Bonney of South Dakota. (USS Ammen, Radarman, U.S. Navy). She and Wayne subsequently became commanders in the Santa Monica Bay California Power Squadron (1980s). Lois Ann was devoted to her husband and a loving mother. Her pleasant personality caused her to get along with everyone she met. She focused on making sure family members of all generations were cared for. Once there was a family discussion about doing something a little "daring," but fun. "Absolutely not!" she exclaimed. Her husband responded, "Well, the boss has spoken." We cried your loss... our hearts couldn't do anything else..... We rejoice knowing your now in the "everlasting arms" and that your work on earth is done. You ran that race and now you wear the crown of life - Christ promised to those who love him. Thank you... thank you so much for all you've done, your love, devotion, and sacrifice. She is survived by a sister, Alma McAllister, two brothers, Paul Rademacher and Leo Rademacher; six children, Jerome Bonney, Richard Bonney, Debbie Bonney, Cynthia Penn, Mepet Bonney-Clay, and Meg Smart, 18 grandchildren, and 23 great grandchildren. A Requiem Mass will be held May 26 at noon at the Franciscan Renewal Center in Scottsdale, AZ, and internment will be the same day at 2:30 p.m. at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona in Phoenix. Services were placed in the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home. To send the family a free card, go to www.sendoutcards.com/lietzfraze.
