Obituary of Robert Lee Vaughn
Robert "Bob" Lee Vaughn, of Lake Havasu City, Arizona, passed away on May 1, 2017. He was born On April 20, 1931 in Los Angeles, California to his parents, Robert and Elizabeth Vaughn. He was 86 years of age.
Bob grew up in Burbank, California, attended and graduated high school;he then decided he wanted to serve his country. He enlisted in the United States Navy and served from 1949-1954. After being honorably discharged from the Navy, he went on to become a lineman for the company MA Bell and retired after 30 years.
Bob loved to go fishing, boating, cards, and enjoyed carving special momentos for friends, family members, and even for himself. Bob was a member of the Elks and also the VFW. He married Bonnie Monroe Vaughn after 27 years on July 15, 2016 in Lake Havasu City, Arizona.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Elizabeth Vaughn; son, Thomas Vaughn.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Monroe Vaughn; sons, Richard Vaughn, of Van Nuys, California, Robert Vaughn, of San Bernardino, David Monroe, of Reno, Nevada, and Jeff Monroe, of Tehachapi, California; daughters, Laurie Josett, Dorene Kolb, of Edmonds, Washington, and Randi Nickoloff, of Yakima, Washington; ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice of Havasu.
