Obituary of Gerry Nathan Skaurud

Gerry Nathan Skaurud, of Crooked River Ranch, Oregon, passed away on April 15, 2017 in Parker, Arizona. He was born on November 25, 1943 to Albert and Irene Skaurud in Twin Valley, Minnesota. He was 73 years of age. Gerry lived in Minnesota until the age of ten, when he and his parents made a long trek across the map and ended up in Olympia, Washington. Before he finished high school, he made his mind up that he wanted to serve his Country. He graduated from Olympia High School in 1961 and became a proud member of the United States Air Force, where he served his Country for 37 years. He was stationed in Portland, Oregon. He married his love, Judi, in Boring, Oregon in 1994. He retired and they settled in Crooked River Ranch, Oregon, where they lived full time but also spent time at their Parker, Arizona home part-time. He loved to fish, travel in their motorhome, spending happy hours with his buddies, and especially loving the game of golf. Gerry was a member of the Elks Lodge, Moose Lodge and also the USGA (United States Golf Association.) He is preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Irene Skaurud. Gerry is survived by his beloved wife, Judi Skaurud; sons, Jeffrey (Kelly) Skaurud, Ronald Breault, and Lance Breault; daughter, Kimberly (Robert) Skaurud-Powarzynski; brother, Byron (Andrea) Skaurud; sister, Eloise (Steve) Schmidt; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
