Obituary of Stephen Thomas Glick

Please share a memory of Stephen to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Steve was born in Bakersfield, California and passed away in the arms of his mom and uncle after a well fought battle with cancer. He was 55 years young. Steve spent most child hood years in Mohave Valley, AZ graduating from Mohave High School. He proudly served in the US Coast Guard and received an honorable discharge with an expert pistol medal and rifle sharp shooter ribbon. He went on to use his training in hydraulic equipment and operation. He really enjoyed working and felt a great deal of accomplishment with his completed jobs. His work kept him busy, mostly in the Nevada area in mining, and construction involving schools, churches, highways and various developments. It was always said that Steve was born 100 years too late. He loved old west stories and learned much about several American Indian cultures and tribes and searched for signs of old Indian artifacts and arrowheads. He enjoyed jet skiing, fishing, and four wheeling in the desert. A man of many hobbies, he loved RC big boy toys of any kind; heli's, planes, boats, etc. Above all of these, he loved family most. Steve is survived by his mother, Lanie Glick, loving sisters, Tomalene (Chuck) Mcknight, of Arizona City, Sandy Pegg & Cindy Drury, of Grand Junction, CO. He also has beloved Aunt Cindy (Ron) Stanphill, Uncles, Clarence & Jim Perkins of Parowan, UT and Wally Perkins, of LHC. He also enjoyed being the favorite cousin and uncle to many nieces and nephews. Steve was loved by many and will be forever missed but live on in our hearts. His life was full and lived well every day. To him it was Christmas every day and celebrated with gusto and joy. Rest well dear loved one.
