Lois Benthagen February 19, 1937 – April 11, 2017 Lois Benthagen, 80, passed away April 11 at her home in Lake Havasu City. She was born in Minneapolis on February 19, 1937 to Don and Ann Little. She grew up in Minnesota, graduated, and met the love of her life there. She married Omar Benthagen on May 19, 1956. They started their family and lived in Crystal, Minnesota. They moved to Lake Havasu City in 1969, so she was a true pioneer. She worked for Dr. Roesner at Solar Dynamics, Lake Havasu Regional Medical Center, and lastly at Safeway for many years until her retirement. Lois enjoyed being with her family. She loved cooking, sewing, quilting, camping with family, and going out to ear at her favorite local restaurants. She also enjoyed being in the "Lois Club." Lois is preceded in death by her husband, Omar Benthagen; parents Donald and Ann Little; brothers, Eugene Sautner and James Sautner; granddaughter, Andrea Benthagen and great-granddaughter, Lexi Gordon. She is survived and will be missed by her sons, Craig (Jeanne) Benthagen, Kyle Benthagen, Chad Benthagen; daughters, Kim Benthagen and Kris (Randy) Johnson. She also leaves behind eight grandchildren; Dustin, Dylan, Dan, Trevor, Jayla, Allie, Selena, and Shanna as well as ten great-grandchildren. Per her wishes, there will be no services. The family asks that for those wishing to honor Lois's memory and celebrate her life, please do a random act of kindness or pay something forward. Please think of a happy memory and brighten someone else's day in memory of Lois. The family wishes to thank Hospice of Havasu, the doctors and caregivers, and the Polidori House for all they've done. Services were placed in the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.
