Please share a memory of Doris to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
July 30, 1937 – April 3, 2017
Doris, a beautiful heart and soul, was called home to be with the Lord on April 3, 2017.
Doris was born in Woonsocket, Rhode Island. As a teenager, she and her family moved to Anaheim, CA where she met the love of her life, Bill Lattin. They got married in 1956, and moved to Lucerne in 1962 where they raised a family.
Doris was a full time mother of four children. Once they were in school she wrote a newspaper column for the Victorville Daily Press. Later, she worked in the cafeteria for the Lucerne Valley Unified School District, where she retired several years later. She enjoyed the first years of retirement traveling and going on cruises and visiting family in the R.V. with her husband, Bill. They started spending their winter months in Parker, Arizona and ended up purchasing a park model at Verde West. They enjoyed many adventures together until Bill passed away in 2006. Doris moved to Parker full-time in 2014 and enjoyed shopping, playing bingo, trips to the casino, and spending time with her family and friends.
Doris is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bill Lattin, and son, Allan Lattin.
She is survived by her daughter, Valerie (James) Luley, sons; Michael (Karen) and Charles (Tina) Lattin, brothers; Edward and Ronald Boisvert, sister; Sharon Turman, seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
