Charles "Steve,""Chic" Stevens, of Lake Havasu City, Arizona passed away on March 28, 2017 at age 85. He was born on February 17, 1932 to Charles and Lucille Stevens in Kansas City, Missouri.
The family moved to Red Lodge, Montana where Charles grew up. After high school, he served in the United States Marine Corps from 1951-1954 during the Korean conflict. He then moved to California where he worked for the General Electric Company. After which he moved to Florida where he worked as an administrator on the Apollo space program. Next, Charles moved to Brockton, Massachusetts where heowned two hardware stores. In 1974, Charles moved to Lake Havasu City, Arizona, where he was the President and CEOof "Chic's Bottle Shop" until its closing in the early 1990s. Charles loved doing crossword puzzles, fishing, and watching war movies. He was a member of the American Legion and the NRA.
Charles is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Lucille Stevens; daughter, KimTappon; and his sister, Beverly Normile. He is survived by his beloved wife and companionof 28 years, Sandra Stevens; his daughter Karen Slight of Torrence, CA and her family; step-son Chris Johnsen of Burlington, Wisconsin and his family; and step-daughter Mona Grib of Anchorage, Alaska and her family.
