Please share a memory of Barbara to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Born on 10-22-1937 in New York City, NY
Nickname: Barbie
Barbara is survived by her daughter, Sheri Hoffman and her brother, Weldon Deaver.
Barbara's career was in the Motion Picture Industry as an Associate Producer. She honed her skills at Universal Studios, Warner Brothers, Columbia and Mary Tyler Moore Studios. Barbara worked on films and TV series such Paint Your Wagon with John Wayne, B.J. and the Bear, Marcus Welby, Name of the Game, Dragnet, Twilight Zone, Max Headroom, Simon and Simon.
Barbara married James Sigg on Dec. 6, 1969 in Las Vegas. Many family trips to Colorado River and Parker, paved the way years later to Lake Havasu. In 1991 the Sigg's left the hubbub of Los Angeles city life to enjoy the past time of boating and basking in the sun.
Barbara was especially proud of being the first person rescued by the Lake Havasu Fire Department when their home burned down in 2011. It was the largest fire in Havasu history and made the front page of the local newspaper on a couple of occasions.
Barbara was a volunteer at the Fraternal Order of Eagles and she and her husband were lovingly known as the "Mother and Father" of the Eagle Riders. Barbara was in charge of the Eagles' pool league for many years. Barbara and Jim were active members of the Roamers Club.
Barbara touched the lives of many and will be missed.
A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at the Fraternal Order of Eagles at 10:00AM, in Lake Havasu City, Arizona.
