Robert Byrne, of Lake Havasu City, Arizona, passed away on January 21, 2017. He was born in Methuen, Massachusetts on October 5, 1933 to parents James and Lillian Byrne. He was 83 years of age.
Born and raised in Massachusetts, Robert met Geraldine and they married on October 5, 1952. They then decided to embark on a journey that took them clear across the country to California in 1968.
Robert was employed at Georgia Pacific in California and in 1991 he and Geraldine made the move to Lake Havasu City, Arizona to become residents of what they called "Home."
Robert liked old cars, collecting antiques, rocks, and $2 bills. He loved to collect all kinds of different things and was known as a "junkman." Robert was also known for his favorite sayings: "Could be worsa", "Dunkashin (Thank you in German)" and also "You do good work, you don't do much, but what you do is good!"
Robert is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 64 years, Geraldine Marie Byrne; parents, James and Lillian Byrne; step-mother, Dorothy Byrne; daughter, Baby Byrne.
He is survived by his daughters, Angel Byrne and Gail (Anthony) Miranda; sons, Bobby (Joni) Byrne and James (Angel) Byrne; grandchildren, Keith Flynn, Ashley and Devenie Byrne, Jordan Holquin, Savanah and Nicholas Cosentino, Cory, Gary, and Royce Singer, Missy Kirklin, Robert and Chris Byrne, Lindsey Anderson; 13 great-grandchildren with another on the way.
The family will be holding a private service at a later date.
