Carole Joy Philips, of Snohomish, Washington, passed away on February 19, 2017. She was born to Frank and Virginia Kittinger on October 24, 1934 in Seattle, Washington. She was 82 years of age.
Carole was born and raised in Seattle and graduated from Kingsgarden High School, in Seattle, Washington. Carole and her husband married and enjoyed 64 years together. They currently live in Snohomish, Washington but has spent 34 years residing in Lake Havasu City, Arizona during the winter months.
Carole was a foster mother to numerous babies and infants as well as raising her own three children. She also enjoyed reading, gardening, volunteering at Hospice of Havasu, and loved meeting with the women from the CR Group and loved each and every one of them.
You could always hear her husband say "you can search the world a million times over and you will never find a more loving and caring woman!"
Carole is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Virginia Kittinger.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 64 years, Thomas Eric Philips; son, Stephen (Erlene) Philips; daughters, Cindy (Bill) Drake and Heather (Jeff) Shelby; sisters, Barbara Kittinger, Francis Stewart, and Lori (Jerry) VanProyen; grandchildren, Lisa (Scott) Schick, Nathan (Hannah) Shelby, Darryl (Genny) Shelby, Michelle (Adam) Calhoun, Eric Philips, and Mitchell Philips; great-grandchildren, Tommy Schick, Addison Rose Shelby, and one more special great-grandchild on the way. Her great-grandchildren were the love of her life.
A memorial service will be at 9:00AM on February 24, 2017 at Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home, 21 Riviera Blvd., Lake Havasu City, Arizona.
